After deliberating more than 12 hours a District Court jury found Kristin Lobato guilty of voluntary manslaughter and sexual penetration of a dead human body this afternoon in the courtroom of District Court Judge Valorie Vega. The guilty verdict concludes a four week trial. Labato was accused of a 2001 attack on a homeless man in Las Vegas who was found dead near a trash bin with his genitals severed. Sentencing will take place November 21, 2006 at 9 AM in courtroom 16B.
