Chief Judge Kathy Hardcastle unsealed a Clark County Grand Jury indictment this morning charging Dexter Smith Jr and Jamar Lamont Rice with allegedly taking part in a series of violent crimes throughout the Las Vegas Valley on or about April 15, 2006.

Smith and Rice will next appear in front of Criminal Hearing Master Kevin Williams July 25, 2006 at 10:30 AM for an arraignment.

The grand jury charged Smith and Rice with the following counts:

1. Coercion with force or threat of force
2. Conspiracy to commit battery
3. Battery with intent to commit a crime
4. Robbery
5. Coercion with force of threat of force
6. Consipiracy to commit battery
7. Battery with substantial bodily harm
8. Coercion with force or threat of force
9. Conspiracy to commit robbery
10. Robbery
11. Conspiracy to commit robbery
12. Attempt robbery
13. Coercion with force of threat of force
14. Conspiracy to commit battery
15. Battery with substantial bodily harm
16. Consipracy to commit burglary
17. Burglary
18. Robbery
