I am mortified and absolutely disgusted and the so called “justice system” today. Hearing the “judge” give statements about how there was obviously no sexual misconduct, no wrong doing, blah blah in the court today and THEN sentancing an INNOCENT BOY to 30 day’s in a juvinille detention center is the ONLY real crime here. Video evidence, I will say again, VIDEO evidence sowed he did NOTHING wrong to that kid, who is nothing but a spitetful punk out to get Damon. Aswell as eyewitness testomony and countless charactor references on Damon’s behalf went un-noticed and even used against him by the DA, Mary Brown, which by the way, she has some serious issues to even think that those testamonials were anything but the TRUTH about him and in NO WAY “brain washed” him or his mother that he did anything wrong. She is an evil woman with nothing but politics on her mind, she couldn’t care less about this “victim”.
Damon had done NOTHING wrong pre this “charge” (not even a simple traffic ticket that 90% of the population gets at some point) in his life and was respected by all (except this Sandro’s kid who got upset when Damon told him to “get his s#$t together” at basketball practice, sparking this rediculous, outlandish, malicious claim that he was assualted by him.
So now you have this perfectly good KID going to JAIL for 30 DAY’S and you think that’s going the HELP him? You are doing nothing but creating a problem!! Especially when he can’t even talk or see his family more than ONCE a week!!!! This “justice system” is a joke and if anything SCREAMS corruption.
You, Judge William Voy should be only making decisions on when to flip burgers at Mcdonalds than making decisions on sending INNOCENT people to jail. DISGUSTING! I hope you can sleep at night knowing you ruined a PERFECTLY good LAW abiding young man who had everything going for him and his family. My God have mercy on your soul! (in fact, i hope he doesn’t).

Today, I decided to research this topic because to be honest, I was bored. I new of this case from months ago and really was interested. I worked at Sierra Vista High School from Jan ‘05 to Oct ‘05 and met Damon on a few occassions. On these occassions, Damon demonstrated nothing but resepct and a “funny” personality. What I mean a “few” occassions, is that he was not a trouble maker or a problem with staff. I was not surprised that a teenage kid could make this mistake or that a complaint could be made like this but I will say, with experience with working with kids, I doubt Damon was guilty of this.
Without stating my opinion of the judicial system, I really hope that this tradegy is not on Damon’s adult record and he does not have to register as a sex offender. He is a talented basketball player and has a life ahead of him. I also hope that once released, he can complete high school on time and have a chance in the future.

I am a father of 2 boys ages 8 & 10. They have been in the same gym with Daman for the last 2 weeks and tht is all that they talk about. I knew of his name from the negative media and did some research on Daman becasue he was involved with my boys. The way that my boys described Daman did not match up with the things that were said about him in the media. Every person that I spoke to that knew Daman knew that he was not capable of harming anyone. In fact, everyone stated how unselfish and kind and considerate he is of everyone of all ages. I did not get one negative feedback about Daman. In fact, I have never heard so many good things about a young man. From adults to his peers and younger children it was all very positive. I then had the opportunity to be in the gym with Daman for 2 days and was amazed with this young man. I have never met a young man that was so polite. He says “yes sir” and “no sir”. I watched him help with a PE class of 4th and 5th graders and his rapport with the children is awesome. He is definely a leader and leads in the right direction. I watched him pray with the children and create a fun atmoshpere with the kids. Daman is a Godly young man and his daily walk demonstrates that. Being a basketball dad I also had the opportunity to ask other coaches about Sondro Maric who made these false allegations against Daman. The response that I received about him was the complete opposite of what was said about Daman. I was told that he has the reputation of being a liar and a very troubled kid. He is not very popular and most people refer to him as weird. I was also told that he over estimates his basketball abilities. After researching I can understand how a boy like Sondro could say something so negative about someone like Daman, becasue after all Daman is a good-looking young man, great student, very popular and well liked by everyone, an unbelievable athlete and has everything going for him. You only have to know Daman for 5 minutes and know what type of person he is. I must say that after all that Daman has been through that I am impressed with his character and his lack of bitterness or anger. I am excited that Daman is part of my 2 boys life and know that he is a positive influence and my boys think the world of you. Daman is an incredible witness for the Lord.
