Court Executive Officer Charles J. Short issued the following statement today (June 21) regarding Presiding Judge Steven E. Jones:
“The District Court received an emergency application for a temporary protective order involving Judge Steven Jones. Because the application involves the Presiding Judge and a temporary employee of the Family Court, and to avoid the appearance of impropriety and potential conflict, the matter has been assigned to Senior Judge J. Charles Thompson.
Judge Thompson issued the temporary protective order this morning and scheduled a hearing at 9 a.m., June 26, in the Senior Judge Courtroom located at 330 S. Third Street, Suite 1120, to consider an extension of the emergency temporary protective order.
Until resolution of this matter, domestic violence cases currently assigned to Judge Jones will be reassigned to another Family Court Judge.â€Â

Why is he still on the bench after he ruined so many familes and children’s lives? Answer that Chuck! Perhaps the FBI investigation will be what stops him someday.

Judge Steven E Jones, defines corruption. He has been charged with domestic violence when ironically he should be protection citizens from people like himself. Not only this, recently I discovered I lost a case which seemed impossible to lose according to my attorney which was not able to figure out what went wrong. We have finally found out now, Judge Steven Jones was a partner with the other party in a real estate venture and I am clueless as what I need to do. To protect his real estate investment I lose my children to a father who has countless charges of domestic violence and holds two misdemeanors. What a legal system we have in Vegas.
