19-year-old Jhesus Jiminez will seek a lower bail amount Thursday (April 20) at 8:30 a.m. in District Court Department 7. Jiminez has been linked to the death of Thomas Prosser. Prosser’s burned body was found in the Nevada desert after Jiminez allegedly attempted to dispose of it.
According to a legal brief filed by the defense, the medical examiner concluded Prosser’s death was caused by cardiac arrest. In their brief, the defense states Jiminez pushed Prosser during a fight, which led to the heart attack and Prosser’s death. The defense indicates Jiminez has agreed to plead guilty to Involuntary Manslaughter. Jiminez is seeking a $3,000 bail or a release on his own recognizance while he awaits sentencing. His bail currently is set at $100,000.
